Hi {{customer.first_name}},
Congratulations on a successful installation day! Now that your system is installed, we know you can’t wait to hit the “Powur” button and start seeing energy flow into your home. But, we can't turn them on just yet. There are a few remaining steps before your system can be fully energized. Don't worry, we're on it!
First, we are scheduling an inspection with your local building department to ensure your system is ready to be powered on. Depending on where you live and the details of your system, your system may require more than one inspection prior to approval.
Next, we'll need permission from your utility company to operate your system. This is often called permission to operate or PTO, which, as you may expect, can take some time. In fact, after inspections, waiting for PTO from your utility typically ranges from two to six weeks.
We'll be working on your project diligently through these final steps to get your panels producing energy from the sun and saving you money! |

We will schedule your inspection for you—there’s nothing you need to do. The inspection process typically occurs very quickly after installation. However, in some jurisdictions, this process may take up to six weeks. We’ll do everything we can on your behalf to expedite this process with the local authorities—we want you up and running just as much as you do! |
Until your inspection is complete, you may notice some exposed wires or things that seem out of place with your installation. Rest assured that this is intentional and temporary - your installation crew likely left certain parts of the project visible to inspectors. |
The final stage for your system, Permission to Operate (PTO), comes from your utility, and just like it sounds, it's the final step that allows you to turn your system on and connect it to the utility grid. Following PTO, you’ll be replacing dirty energy flowing from the grid with clean energy flowing right into your home! |
Watch out for an email from your monitoring service regarding access information to monitor the production of your system. |
