Hi {{customer.first_name}},

Just a quick note to let you know that the installation is scheduled for {{event.homeowner_full_name}}. {{event.homeowner_first_name}} was sent an email containing the following information.

Hi {{event.homeowner_first_name}},

We’ve reached a pretty special milestone in your solar journey—your installation is scheduled! Here’s what we have in our system for your home:

Your Powur Certified Installation Partner:
{{event.homeowner_installer_name}}

{% if event.homeowner_installer_phone %}({{event.homeowner_installer_phone | slice: '-10', 3}}) {{event.homeowner_installer_phone | slice: '-7', 3}}-{{event.homeowner_installer_phone | slice: '-4', 4}} {% endif %}

Your scheduled install date:
{{event.homeowner_installation_scheduled_start_date | date: "%m/%d/%y" }}

{% if event.homeowner_installation_arrival_window != blank %}

Your arrival window:

{{event.homeowner_installation_arrival_window}}

{% endif %}

By now, you’ve probably already confirmed many of these details with your Project Manager, but we wanted to fill you in on all the details you need to get ready for your big day.

What's Next?

How Long Will Your Installation Last?

This depends on the complexity of your project, but our average projects take anywhere from 1-4 days to complete. While not required, we recommend you or someone you trust remains at home for the entire duration of your installation. Your crew will work largely on their own as safely and efficiently as possible but may need you for access to key areas, questions, or other things that arise on installation day.

Receiving Your Equipment

{% if event.homeowner_installation_scheduled_delivery_method == "Customer Dropship" %}Your Powur installation is close! We will be shipping materials to your home prior to your installation date. Please clear a space where you can securely receive a pallet(s) of materials without blocking any vehicles.{% else %}Your Powur installation is close! {{event.homeowner_installer_name}} will bring the required materials on the day of your installation. Please clear a space where they can securely place materials without blocking any vehicles.{% endif %}

Preparing For Installation Day

Your Powur Certified Installation Partner will take care of nearly everything, but there are several things you can do to make your installation go as smoothly as possible. Here are a few of the most important things:

{% if event.homeowner_mpu_scheduled_date %}

  • We have electrical work scheduled to be done as part of your solar installation on {{event.homeowner_mpu_scheduled_date | date: "%m/%d/%y" }}. Prepare in advance for your power to be off for a few hours or potentially more since you are having a main panel upgrade. This is required to safely connect your solar to the power grid. The installer will go over the schedule and duration of the power outage on the morning of the install. Out of convenience to you, we do try to limit this to be as short and as safe as possible.

{% endif %}

  • Be available in the morning to greet the crew, review the design plans with them, and discuss the installation timeline.
  • Clear any materials from the areas where your battery and/or the inverter will go, as well as make sure there is access to your main electrical panel, meters, and attic, as necessary.

  • Clear your driveway.

  • Let your neighbors know you’re going solar and it might get a little loud.

  • Consider your pets. Do you have a dog who will need to be kept away from the installation crews? Do you have any furry friends who will be alarmed by the commotion and noise? Do what you can to make any necessary arrangements for your pets to keep them safe.

  • Please help us ensure a safe installation during COVID-19. You can review our COVID-19 No Contact Solar Policy for more information about our safety protocols.

Share Your Experience!
