Hi {{customer.first_name}},
We’ve now reached the stage in your project where {{customer.utility_company}} needs a signed interconnection application before we can move forward with the interconnection process.
{{customer.utility_company}} mandates that the utility account owner sign a "Solar Bank Election Form" before our official submission of the application. You can expect to receive this form from Services@sertifi.net.
The Solar Bank election form allows you to determine how you will be credited for your system's excess energy (kWh). Based on our experience, Option A provides the most savings as excess production will roll over to your next billing cycle in the form of a credit. On the other hand, Option B offers a payout, where Xcel will buy back your excess production at $.018 per kWh at the end of the year. Historically, the buyback rate has decreased year after year.
Please note if you select Option A it cannot be changed. If you choose Option B, you can return to Option A at the end of your billing cycle.
Please take a moment to review and sign the document. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. We’re excited to get you started on your clean energy journey!
Thank you,
The Powur Interconnection Team
